Visit in Proplast of the Nervi-Fermi Institute of Alessandria

On Friday 17th February Proplast received a visit from 3 classes – two fourth and one fifth – from the Nervi-Fermi Institute in Alessandria.

After a brief presentation of the Proplast Consortium, the students were able to visit the technical areas of the structure:

• the Analysis Laboratory, with the instruments that the research center uses to conduct trials and tests on materials and the finished product;
• the Technological Laboratory, where polymer transformation technologies – moulding, extrusion and thermoforming – were presented;
• the mechanical workshop, the area where the molds are built and maintained

All the students showed interest and participation and appreciated the opportunity to see the practical application of tools and mechanical equipment studied in the classroom.

We hope that this initiative helped to increase the interest of young people in the world of plastics!
